You Won't Believe Who Made Gigi Hadid's Incredible 25th Birthday Cake
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Yolanda Hadid's daughter shared "the icing on the perfect quarantine bday."
Gigi Hadid celebrated her 25th birthday with gifts, mouth-watering meals, and an incredible cake at her mom Yolanda Hadid's Pennsylvania farm. As it turns out, the dessert, designed to look like a massive everything bagel with cream cheese, brought Gigi to tears for a very special reason.
"The icing on the perfect quarantine bday was finding out my surprise everything-bagel-cake was made by the one and only Cake Boss [Buddy Valastro] who I have watched for over a decade," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum's daughter captioned a series of Instagram photos that include the cake. "I CRIED REAL TEARS! BUDDY! This is a dream come true. I can’t believe you made this cake for me while the bakery is closed. It means more to me than you know, and when we hopefully meet some day you will truly know that there almost isn’t an episode I’ve missed."
The feeling appears to be mutual. In a video recorded by Valastro and shared by Gigi, the esteemed baker sent birthday wishes to the model: "I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. I hope you enjoy the cake. I'm a huge fan. It's my absolute pleasure and I hope you have the best birthday ever."
Gigi, Yolanda, and Bella Hadid previously shared snaps from the big day. In addition to the bagel cake, the group, also including Gigi's boyfriend, Zayn Malik, feasted on a full bagel spread, what appeared to be silver dollar pancakes, and bacon. The room was also filled with over-the-top decor, including a variety of gorgeous balloons.
Others who couldn't celebrate with her in person, including her father, Mohamed Hadid, her brother, Anwar Hadid, his girlfriend, Dua Lipa, and Gigi's friends Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, and Joe Alwyn, sent stunning flowers to the home.
As it turns out, Valastro is no stranger to making over-the-top cakes for Bravolebrities. Last year, he whipped up an incredible treat for the launch of Joe Gorga's book, The Gorga Guide to Success: Business, Marriage, and Life Lessons from a Real Estate Mogul. The massive red cake perfectly mimicked the book's bold red cover, including Joe's face. Melissa Gorga, who is friends with Valastro, was clearly blown away by the dessert, writing: "Thank you @buddyvalastro @carlosbakery for this gorgeous book cake it was so delicious!!!"
