John Mellencamp Is Engaged to Meg Ryan at 67, and He's Ready to LOL for Life
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dad called his fiancée: "the funniest woman I ever met."
At 67 years old, John Mellencamp is headed to the altar. Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's rock star dad is engaged to his longtime, on-again-off-again girlfriend Meg Ryan — and he says that he's in for a lifetime of laughs.
When speaking to Today, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills father said, "I’m engaged at 67 to a very funny woman — the funniest woman I ever met." He also hinted at his own not-always-hilarious personality: "One can only imagine I'm not the easiest guy to get along with, so let's leave it at that," the singer said.
This isn't the first time Mellencamp has outed himself for being difficult. He once told Howard Stern, "Oh, women hate me. I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death." (In hindsight: That was fake news!) He added, "I think it’s because I’m a child. I throw fits, I gripe, I complain. I’m moody. Every bad thing that a fella can be, that’s me.” We're hard-pressed to believe that's true, but being a little self-aware never hurt anyone!
