RHOBH Producer Elaborates on Diana Jenkins' Absence From the Season 12 Reunion
Alex Baskin clarified that the RHOBH cast member was genuinely sick, despite speculation stating otherwise.
The record is being set straight on Diana Jenkins' absence from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 12 Reunion.
While fans were already told that Diana couldn't attend the taping in-person because she was sick, some didn't buy it. RHOBH producer Alex Baskin, however, insists that really was the case.
"People wondered whether she was dodging the reunion and she was not at all," Alex explained during a reunion-themed panel at BravoCon 2022. "She was so bed-ridden in the days before I wasn’t sure she was gonna be able to be with us at all, but we’re glad that she participated the way she could."
And while it's easy to assume that a Housewife would have an easier time Zooming in to the reunion rather than physically showing up, Alex said that's not exactly true. "It’s a disadvantage when everyone else is in-person and you’re remote," he added. "It’s really hard.”
The producer went on to dispel another false notion about Diana's reunion appearance. “I can confirm here she was not reading off of a prompter," Alex said, responding to social media speculation on the subject. "The set-up may have appeared that way, but she wasn’t."
