Riley Burruss Opens Up About What Todd Tucker Is Like as a Stepdad
Kandi Burruss' daughter opens up about her RHOA stepdad.
During Kandi Burruss' time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, viewers have gotten to know her family. The RHOA cast member has introduced many members of her extended family to fans, including her mom, Joyce, all her kids (Riley Burruss, Ace, and Blaze Tucker), and husband Todd Tucker, whom she married in 2014.
And now Riley is opening up about having Todd as a stepdad in an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider.
"I feel like he's the type where there's a lot of times when me and my mom may disagree or she may say no, but then he'll kind of convince her and be like, 'Come on. Let her do this, like, relax.' I guess, [he's] the cool one who tries to, like, get [my] mom to relax," Riley said of her stepdad.
In addition to having a stepdad, Riley does, of course, have an older stepsister in Todd's daughter Kaela, 24, who also lives in NYC. Riley said that she does see Kaela "occasionally," like most recently when Kandi came up to the Big Apple to visit, but she noted that the six-year age gap does make it a little hard to hang out. "So it's definitely a different dynamic," she said.
Kandi has also been open about the issues with Riley's dad, and Riley notes that, currently, things remain estranged between them, as was discussed during Season 13 of RHOA. "There's really not a situation. Of course, my mom has spoken about how we're going through with the child support and figuring that out. But I personally have not spoken to him in a very long time," she said. "So there's really no situation."
Riley does have plenty of family to keep her busy. While she's currently living in New York City for her freshman year at NYU, Riley opened up a bit about what life is like for her when she's at home in Atlanta.
"I'm always in the kitchen, I'm always with the kids," she said about hanging out with her younger siblings, Ace and Blaze.
Actually, the kitchen truly is the heart of the home for the Burruss-Tucker family.
"I feel like Todd's always working in one of the restaurants, making sure everything's good over there. Of course, my mom's schedule is always full," Riley said. "But we always ended up seeing each other in the kitchen area mostly. Ace will be in there sitting watching TV on his iPad. Blaze will be running around, so that's kind of like the dynamic. Of course, Kaela lives in New York, so she hasn't been around there that much, similar to me now."
