What's Happened to Kandi Burruss Tucker's Engagement Ring from Todd Tucker?
The RHOA cast member has been spotted with a totally different ring on her left ring finger.
One of our favorite Bravo love stories has to be that of Kandi Burruss Tucker and Todd Tucker. Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta got to watch their romance blossom from the very beginning, when the couple met on a Season 4 cast trip to South Africa. (At the time, Todd was working as a line producer on the show).
As we all know, that story had a happy ending: Kandi and Todd got engaged in 2013, were married in 2014, and have since had two kids together in addition to their two children from a previous relationships.
Kandi wears a symbol of that love story on her finger in the form of a stunning engagement ring from Todd.

Kandi and Todd were engaged in January of 2013, and a stunning ring sealed the deal. According to Us Weekly, Kandi first spotted the ring in Las Vegas on a cast trip, and she called Todd to tell him about it. He then had the ring shipped from Vegas to Atlanta, and he carried it around for “three to four months” before officially popping the question.
The ring that caught Kandi’s eye: a gorgeous white diamond sparkler by Gregg Ruth. The ring features a cluster of diamonds in the center in the shape of an oval, and the combined carat weight of the center stones is two carats.
The ring also has a halo of diamonds, and its band is a triple shank outfitted with even more diamonds.
Kandi Burruss defended her engagement ring from Todd Tucker
In Season 6 Episode 2, Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce, insulted the ring that Todd gave Kandi.
“I just want him to be able to provide for you,” Mama Joyce said in the episode. “Todd should have [gone] out and bought a real ring.”
Kandi was not pleased with the accusation. “Hold on. Are you trying to diss my ring?” she asked her mom. “That is not cool because this is the ring that I wanted. He got me got me what I wanted. He did not just go out and pick a random ring. This is the one that I asked for. When I saw this ring in the case, I did not even know how much it cost. I loved it.”
Kandi Burruss’ New Diamond Ring
In more recent years, Kandi has been spotted with a diamond ring on her left ring finger that appears to be different than the one Todd originally proposed with.
The new ring has a single, round center diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. The most telling difference is the band, which appears to be a single pave diamond band, rather than a triple shank band like the original.
The new ring can be seen in the above photo — taken in March 2024 — of Todd and Kandi at a basketball game.
Eagle-eyed fans might have already spotted it, though: She was wearing it at the Season 13 reunion in 2021.
That said, she told Us Weekly in April 2024 that she often goes without wearing Todd's ring.
“Today I do [have it on]," she said. "But they’ll be like, ‘Why doesn’t she have on her ring?’ I hardly ever have it on."
