Kandi Burruss' New Purple Hair Is "Bouncing and Behaving"
There's a reason The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom chose the purple hue for her new hair color.
Riley Burruss isn't the only one in her family testing out new hair colors this summer. Weeks after The Real Housewives of Atlanta teen debuted bold red streaks, mom Kandi Burruss also graced us with a surprising new 'do.
Before appearing on the Amplify Our Voices: Sharing Black Stories virtual panel at the 2020 American Black Film Festival on August 30, Kandi popped up on Instagram to show off her latest hairstyle. In the IG Stories post, the ATL singer and entrepreneur sported a baroque print dress along with black and purple pin curls styled by hairstylist Derek J.
"This hair was a hot mess. It was a hot musty mess, and [Derek] just got me back together," Kandi shared. She added that her mane was "bouncing and behaving" during her virtual panel. Kandi also revealed that the hint of purple in her hair was inspired by the Night Angel character she portrayed on Season 3 of The Masked Singer.
