Eva Marcille wants The Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies to "ignite the confidence" in all of us minus all the makeup.
Eva Marcille is using self-quarantine to strip down to the basics. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom is ready to go makeup-free and she wants her fellow fab cast members to follow suit with a new challenge she issued over Instagram on April 1.
"I would like for all of us amazing, fabulous ladies out there to go ahead and wash up that face," she said in a short video. "Moisturize and be bold enough to say hello to the world 'wash face' — no filter, no FaceTune, don't hide behind anything but your own beauty." We love it.
At a time when people are staying safe and staying home, who wants the added pressure of glamming up for the 'gram!?! "The point of the challenge is to ignite the confidence in you!" she continued in her caption. "No need for filters and make up and enhancement to be beautiful. Be bold enough to be you."
She called upon her entire RHOA gang to jump on board and low and behold some of the ladies were happy to deliver. Nene Leakes, for example, shared a clean-faced photo on Instagram saying, "If you know me, you know I've ALWAYS been a skin girl." Leave it to Nene to immediately up the ante by adding, "Next time, let's show our bodies."
Cynthia Bailey is a pro when it comes to letting her bare skin shine. The ageless model has never shied away from sharing a makeup-free selfie even at 4:30 am or on a plane! But even the flawless Ms.Bailey made sure to "keep it 100" in her caption. "Now let me keep it ?, @facetune is my FRIEND!," she explains. "I’m 53 years old (always been very transparent about my age), and i am very secure with my looks, however, y’all know y’all can be very critical on the gram." Good point.
And though they haven't responded yet to Eva's call to keep it makeup free, Porsha Williams, Marlo Hampton, Kandi Burruss, and even Kenya Moore have all previously posted glowing, fresh-faced shots.
