Kandi Burruss: "A Surrogate is the Best Option for Health Reasons"
Kandi Burruss opens up about her decision to pursue surrogacy, thoughts on open relationships, and that confrontation with Eva Marcille.
Bravotv.com: Did you have any concerns about using a surrogate?
Kandi Burruss: Yes. I don’t have any friends or anyone close to me that has ever used a surrogate. I felt weird considering getting someone else to carry my baby, but unfortunately I’ve already had one high-risk pregnancy, and a surrogate is the best option for health reasons. Some people wonder why we even want to try to have the babies at all. The answer is that we don’t want to destroy our other embryos. So we want to give them the best chance to make it.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Eva's response when you confronted her about shading Shamea?
KB: I didn’t really think anything of it. When you call someone out on something that they did wrong, they typically don’t see it that way. So her response didn’t surprise me.
Bravotv.com: Do you think open relationships ever work?
KB: There are some people out there that live that lifestyle that it may work for. To each his own.
