Foodgōd Jonathan Cheban Just Invented Gold-Dipped Chicken Wings That Cost Up to $1,000
They're at the Ainsworth in New York City, and $1,000 buys 50, plus a bottle of Champagne Armand de Brignac.
What's better than 24 karats of gold? 24 karats of gold wrapped around chicken and slathered in Ranch, of course. But if that answer didn't come to you easily, fear not. That's why the world has innovators like Jonathan Cheban.
The self-named "Foodgōd" likes his dining experiences as extra as possible, whether that means racking up a staggering sushi tab or whipping up millennial pink desserts that catch on fire. In keeping with that trend, the Kim Kardashian bestie just worked with restaurant The Ainsworth to develop a chicken wing that makes the Versace mansion look understated.
As described above, the Buffalo wings are dipped in edible gold and come served with a side of creamy dressing.
Available at the resto's Chelsea and East Village outposts in New York, the dish leaves your lips dusted with a trace of glitter, as demonstrated below by Cheban himself.
The wings go for a bit more than they do at your typical sports bar, ringing in at $30 for 10, or $60 for 20.
Oh but you didn't think it ended there, did you? Nope: For, a cool $1,000, you'll get 50 wings with a bottle of Champagne Armand de Brignac. And what's a few thousand smackers among friends... when your friends are Kardashians?
Cheers!
