"Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro has a longstanding baking tradition with his wife, Lisa Valastro.
We already know the extent to which Buddy Valastro is prepared to satisfy any sweet tooth under his roof — that's thanks in part to The Real Housewives of New Jersey pal Melissa Gorga, who has a well-documented friendship with the "Cake Boss" himself, and recently showed off the wow-worthy goods available there. And now, we know even more about the unadulterated sweets porn that goes down in the Valastro family kitchen.
Valastro took to Instagram to share details of the over-the-top birthday cake created specially — and with much love! — by someone very close to him: wife Lisa Valastro. The pair share a cherished birthday baking tradition.
First, he posted some video clips to show the confection coming together in their home kitchen as she baked, iced, and added decorations. He noted in the caption, "love this tradition and I really love this woman."
Later, he showed the finished product — and it's incredible. The huge three-tiered cake, which sat atop a stand fully covered in rainbow sprinkles, was decked all the way around with mini doughnuts as well as full-size wafer cookies.
Rainbow candles spelled out "Happy Birthday" and his age, 42.
