Tom Schwartz Declares He Needs "a Break" From Tom Sandoval
See what Tom Schwartz shared about his friendship with his Vanderpump Rules castmate on Winter House.
Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval's friendship is still reeling from the drama of Vanderpump Rules Season 10 to this day, so it's no surprise that the two were at even more of an impasse while Schwartz was filming Winter House Season 3.
He revealed that was the case during Season 3, Episode 5 on November 21 while talking to Katie Flood and Malia White. The conversation came ahead of Schwartz's impending departure from the Colorado house, where he's been staying along with Katie, Malia, and fellow yachtie Alex Propson, as well as Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, and Danielle Olivera of Summer House; Kory Keefer of Winter House; Jordan Emanuel of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard; Brian Benni of Family Karma; and Casey Craig, who's making her Bravo debut.

Tom Schwartz on His Friendship with Tom Sandoval During Winter House Season 3
Schwartz kicked off the conversation about his inevitable return to West Hollywood by noting, "I'm sad I have to leave tomorrow."
Katie then questioned if he really had to depart so soon, to which he responded, "I have to go back and just check on the bar we just opened. Maybe check in with my buddy Tom."
At the same time, Schwartz also acknowledged that they weren't on the best of terms. "I texted him but I haven't talked to him. I'm taking a break; We're taking a break. I need a break from Tom."
What's more, "I think he should shave his mustache," Schwartz joked.
Why Tom Schwartz Is Leaving the Winter House Early
Schwartz then further discussed his departure from the Winter House in a confessional interview, revealing that he was heading back to LA in order to film the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
"As time goes on and I inch closer and closer to having to return to LA, my anxiety's creeping in," he said. "It's rap-tap-tapping at my doorstep and I know it's a little melodramatic but, you know, it's coming. It's inevitable. I have to go back. And I have to film the reunion!"

Now that the reunion has come and gone, where does the Toms' friendship stand today? Well, at BravoCon 2023, Sandoval was faced with a request for a status update ahead of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, and he said, "We’re doing really well.”
“Considering, I mean, I definitely put him through a lot," he continued. "You know, [he] got a lot of residual hate just from me, you know what I mean?”
Earlier in the day, at another BravoCon event, Sandoval faced the same subject. “I feel like it’s definitely gotten better," he explained of his friendship with Schwartz. "Obviously, we went through tough times because of me, and he dealt with a lot of residual negativity, and I really appreciate [him] sticking by.”
