Why Did Cynthia Bailey Stay Out of the Rumors About Kim Fields' Husband?
The #RHOA fashionista revealed why she didn't pick a side in this feud.
Things got heated during Part 3 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion Sunday. Kim Fields' husband Christopher Morgan confronted Kenya Moore about those rumors she brought up regarding his sexuality while the couples vacayed in Jamaica this season, and you need only watch the clip above to know that things got messy.
Cynthia Bailey was one of the only 'Wives to stay out of that bit of drama on RHOA, and she still stands by her decision today. "I just think putting out there the possibility that he could be gay, I just didn't think that was cool. Kenya is one of my closest friends, but I didn't think that was a good thing to do," she told The Daily Dish backstage at New York Live last week. "I feel that way because I think, unless you have real facts to back stuff up, rumors can be really hurtful, and they live on."
Having dealt with rumors surrounding her husband Peter Thomas this season of RHOA, Cynthia said she empathized with Kim. "I've been on the other side, and I know what it's like to have my husband talked about constantly with no real facts to validate anything that's been said either," she said.
Even though Cynthia is extremely close with Kenya, she said she didn't feel like she had to support her in the feud — or Kim and her husband, for that matter. "I didn't feel a need to pick a side, per se. The great thing about this group is everyone's grown and everyone has their moments where they have to handle themselves. That's kind of what this group is all about," Cynthia explained. "I think Kim and Chris handled themselves. I didn't think they needed a team to do it. I think they handled themselves well."
