Cynthia Bailey Reveals Why She Gave Husband Peter Thomas a Second Chance

How is the couple doing after that emotional #RHOA episode?

Cynthia and Peter Aren't Happy...

It's been difficult watching Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas struggle to keep their marriage together during this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But of course, it's been even harder for Cynthia to relive that heartache, especially when the couple dealt with the fallout of a video showing Peter speaking closely to another woman at his Sports One bar. “I had to live through the video twice. In my real life privately, and when the show aired publicly. I assumed everyone has already seen it because it was everywhere. To my surprise, most people knew nothing about it until they saw it on the show," Cynthia said in an exclusive interview with The Real Mr. Housewife. "It was like peeling a scab off a sore. I had to deal with the pain all over again.“

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

This tension came to a head during Sunday night's episode of RHOA when the couple had a very honest and intense conversation about their marriage. Ultimately, the two came to the conclusion that they wanted to figure out how to make their relationship work. “I was moved by our conversation,” Bailey said. “It was honest, and it was real. My heart told me to give it one more try. Not to give up.”

Now that a few months have passed since filming these emotional moments, how is the couple doing today? “We are in a better place than we were 3 months ago. We have been together for 8 years, and married for 5," Bailey told The Real Mr. Housewife. "Regardless, of everything we have been through, we still love each other. We are trying to work it out. God willing, we will.”

Cynthia went on to say that she is staying true to herself, no matter what anyone thinks of her decision. “My friends and family support me, and my choices,” she said. “Everyone has an opinion, but only you know what’s right for you. I appreciate them, however, I can’t live my life for everyone else. I have to live it for myself.”
