Vishal Parvani of Family Karma on Why His Fiancée Richa Is Like Jax Taylor
The Family Karma cast member explains that this is a compliment.
Bravo Digital's Megan Segura and Erik J. Mac bring you exclusive interviews from Bravo HQ, featuring Bravolebs such as Nene Leakes, Captain Lee, and Stassi Schroeder, plus expert commentary and behind-the-scenes scoop straight from Bravo execs. New episodes are released every Thursday morning, wherever you get your podcasts.
With the premiere of Family Karma, we now have a whole new set of Bravolebs to love. One of these new cast members is Vishal Parvani, who introduced us to both his parents (who he lives with) and his long-distance fiancée (who he definitely doesn't live with — and also doesn't share a room with when she comes into town). We also learned there was some definite family tension — namely, Richa's mother, whom Vishal is "deathly afraid of" — standing in the way of Vishal and Richa finally tying the knot after years of being engaged.
In fact, his relationship with Richa has been such a topic of interest that The Daily Dish podcast couldn't help but ask about it when Vishal stopped by. And Vishal had the perfect person to compare his fiancée to — but you probably didn't see this one coming.
"I am not the Jax Taylor of my show, but I do love Jax Taylor, you know? He’s like an a--hole that owns it. I wish I could be more of an a--hole sometimes and own it, but I’m not, but my fiancée, Richa, is an a--hole and probably could," Vishal admitted. "But, like, a--hole in a good way... She could put Jax in his place."
If you're surprised by that comparison, you might want to remember that Vishal is a huge Bravo fan, previously sharing with The Daily Dish that he's watched the likes of The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Below Deck, Shahs of Sunset, and Vanderpump Rules with Richa for years.
In fact, Vishal wants to adopt some of that Jax Taylor-Richa attitude after watching his own interview bites.
"I wish I could take back some things I said, but you know what? I said everything I said, and like, Jax and my fiancée, I’m gonna own it," he decided.
That's the spirit!
