Vicki Gunvalson Opens Up About Her Breakup with Steve Lodge
The RHOC alum addressed ending her engagement to Steve Lodge in an emotional statement.
Vicki Gunvalson is addressing her split from Steve Lodge after five years together for the first time since the news broke earlier this week. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum opened up about ending her two-plus-year engagement from Steve in an emotional Instagram post.
Vicki shared her "Vibe of the Day," which is all about "[deciding] you want a good life" and all the things that will happen because of that decision, and she also reflected on the breakup in the caption for the post.
"This is what appeared for today’s 'Vibe of the day'… pretty appropriate for what I’m going through. It’s taken me a day to be able to make a statement after the press started writing about Steve and I. Yes, the rumors are true. The time has come for Steve and I to move forward or move on and we are …. moving on," she wrote on Wednesday (September 29). "There is no fault with either person, we are just going in different directions. I wish him the best life has to offer and to be happy, and he has wished the same for me. I gave it my all, but sometimes the 'ALL' isn’t enough. We both have no further comment."
Vicki and Steve began dating in the spring of 2016 after meeting at a Boys & Girls Club charity event in Anaheim years prior. Along the way, the couple often took fans inside their relationship together by sharing moments with the world. They confirmed their engagement in April 2019.
This week, Vicki also opened up in a post in her Instagram Stories in which she also shared how she's dealing with the recent change in her life.
