Why Lala Kent Was “Angrier Than Ariana” at the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion

She also revealed whether there was anything Sandoval or Raquel could have said to earn “grace” at the reunion.

The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion may officially be over, but Lala Kent is still reflecting on what went down (including that confession from Raquel Leviss).

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

The Give Them Lala author appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after Part 3 of the reunion aired on June 7, and she opened up about the “intense day” and why it seemed like she and James Kennedy were “angrier than Ariana [Madix]” on set.

Lala’s Reunion Antics, Explained

The Season 10 reunion marked the first time that Sandoval had been in the same room as the rest of the cast since the news broke about his affair with Raquel, which meant that it didn’t take long for things to get heated.

After Sandoval apologized to Ariana on Part 1 of the reunion, James noted that the apology “didn’t hit” for him, while Lala said she “wasn’t listening.” James then stormed off the reunion set two times before Part 1 concluded, and Lala stood up from her chair while addressing Raquel on Part 3.

On WWHL, Lala revealed why she had such a strong reaction to the affair, and why, at times, it appeared like she and James were more upset than Ariana herself.

“I can only speak for myself, [but] I was angry because Raquel was calling me a mistress all season while she’s banging Tom, and Tom was telling me ‘Just be real,’” Lala said. “That’s why I was angry.”

Lala’s Favorite Part of the Reunion

Though emotions were definitely heightened during the reunion taping for Lala, Sandoval, Raquel, Ariana, James, and fellow cast members Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and Lisa Vanderpump, Lala did manage to identify one major positive from the day.

Lala Kent at WWHL.

“I will say I loved seeing our side really band together,” Lala explained about her “rose” of the reunion. “We’ve had our ups and downs, and it was a very bonding experience.”

Lala’s Thoughts on Sandoval and Raquel Facing Off with the Group

During the WWHL After Show, host Andy Cohen asked if there was anything Sandoval or Raquel “could have said that day to make you have any kind of pause or give them any grace.”

Lala said there was, but her answer surprised Andy.

“Walking in and being like, ‘Sorry, Ariana, [I] didn’t care about you that much, I did it, get over it,’” Lala explained. “I think I would have been like, 'Oh, OK...’”

When Andy questioned whether Lala would have really “respected” Sandoval and Raquel for doing that, she elaborated on her answer.

Tamra Judge and Lala Kent Break Down Pump Rules Reunion

“I don’t know how you could have made it better, except for just owning it, which they never did. And every time Sandoval would try to act like he was sorry about it, then he throws in a line like the T-shirt comment, and it’s just like, it’s not hitting,” she added. “Like, why don’t you just say, ‘I don’t care about you as much as I pretended to and I’m sorry about that.’ Wouldn’t we all rather them be actually honest? Like, stop pretending like you care. You don’t care.”

You can catch up on the three-part reunion on Peacock now.

Following the three reunion episodes, Bravo will air a “Secrets Revealed” episode with additional dramatic and scandalous moments behind the affair that jolted the zeitgeist. Tune in on Wednesday, June 14, at 9/8c.
