Get Ready to Experience the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion Like Never Before
James Kennedy and Tom Sandoval’s reunion beef is back in the most unexpected way.
Actors Jon Hamm and John Slattery took on the SURprise roles of a lifetime during their June 13 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, playing Vanderpump Rules’ James Kennedy and Tom Sandoval, respectively. More specifically, the actors portrayed the two while reenacting a particularly memorable moment from Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
Watch the above video to see the scene, which serves as the latest installment of WWHL’s “Clubhouse Playhouse” segment. Then read on for details about Hamm and Slattery’s performance, as well as Hamm’s Bravo obsession.
Jon Hamm and John Slattery’s Vanderpump Rules Reunion Reenactment
As Vanderpump Rules fans may recall, James was extremely upset to learn that his “big bro” Tom had cheated on Ariana Madix with his ex-fiancée, Raquel Leviss. So he unleashed on Tom throughout the three-part reunion. And though the former friends engaged in several shouting matches over the course of all three episodes, one of their first conversations was especially heated, as James called Tom “an opportunist,” and Tom fired back by arguing that James was the one who started dating Kristen Doute “five days after we f-cking broke up” in an attempt to “get on the show.”
Enter Hamm and Slattery, who reenacted this very argument. Hamm even delivered a formidable impression of James’ British accent as he yelled things like, “You're a clown,” or more notably, James’ infamous line about Tom being “a worm with a mustache.”
The accent did throw Slattery off midway through the scene, though. “Am I supposed to have an English accent?!” he asked his fellow WWHL guest, who told him no.
The reenactment continued from there, and ultimately went out on a high note with Hamm repeating James’ insults for both Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz — “tweedle-dee and tweedle-little dick” — as well as James’ comment about Sandoval and Raquel being “poo poo heads.”
James Kennedy’s Response to Jon Hamm’s Impression
James, for his part, was blown away by Hamm’s portrayal of him. He first posted a clip of the WWHL moment to his Instagram Stories, writing, “This is crazy[.] I love Jon Hamm. What a legend,” and later shared it to his feed, once again calling the actor “a legend.”
Andy was also a big fan of the performance, as he nearly fell out of his chair laughing.
Jon Hamm’s Love of Bravo
Hamm may have nailed his impression of James, but it turns out there’s a reason for that: The actor is “a Vanderpumper,” as he put it during a recent appearance on the TODAY show.
The admission came after co-anchor Savannah Guthrie asked Hamm whether it was “faux news” that he’s a Real Housewives fan. His response? “No, that’s real.”
She went on to inquire about his favorite Real Housewives franchises, to which he replied, “Well, I’m a [The Real Housewives of New] Jersey man.” Then, after professing his love of Vanderpump Rules, Hamm added that he’s also “a [The Real Housewives of] Beverly Hills-ian” and that he “like[s]” The Real Housewives of New York City. He even mentioned the show’s upcoming Season 14.
