A Vanderpump Rules Producer Tells All on a Storyline She Wishes Was "Explored More": "It Felt Radical"

Scheana Shay is ready to add another impressive title to her resume.

As fans already know, in addition to being a cast member on Vanderpump Rules, Scheana is a singer, podcast host, actress, wife, and mom of one. But now the “Good as Gold” songstress is debuting her producing skills, and by the looks of it, she’s already a natural.

In the clip above, Scheana sits down with Vanderpump Rules' Post Executive Producer, Natalie Neurauter, for a BravoTV.com exclusive interview to discuss her work on the series and spills on the shocking “storyline” she wished her team covered more.

Natalie starts their candid conversation by explaining the purpose of her role on the show. “I am responsible for making sure all the episodes are bleeped,” she told Scheana. The producer continued by sharing that her eyes are one of the “first” to view all footage to see what “interesting” things are happening within the group.

With that in mind, Scheana then quips Natalie about the amount of “hours of footage” she’s looked at throughout 11 seasons. To hear what Natalie says, watch the video above. (And fair warning, her answer will surprise you.)

Vanderpump Rules storylines of the past

As mentioned, it’s Natalie’s job to review any footage that her camera crew captures of the former SURvers, but that doesn’t mean everything makes it to the small screen. In fact, the post executive producer tells Scheana there was one “friendship” she regrets not going deep on.

“I know that the entire world was fascinated by the fact that Ariana [Madix] and Kristen Doute became friends,” she explains. Find out more details by pressing play on the clip above.

Lessons learned from working on Vanderpump Rules

Natalie has been working on the show for over a decade and has overcome many challenges on Vanderpump Rules, so much so that she informs Scheana of some valuable lessons she’s learned along the way.

“I think learning how to tell a story and... truly getting to understand everyone points of view,” Natalie says, adding, "And looking for humor in moments where it doesn’t seem there is humor to be had.”
