Here's Your First Look at the History-Making Top Chef Season 17 All Stars L.A.
Get ready for the "fiercest" season ever of the culinary competition this March.
Some of your favorite cheftestants are back and hungry for that coveted title of Top Chef.
Host Padma Lakshmi revealed at BravoCon that the upcoming Season 17 of Bravo's Top Chef would be an all-star edition, and the announcement of the 15 finalists, frontrunners, and fan favorites vying for another shot at culinary supremacy has whet our appetites. But now we finally get to see the sizzling competition to come with the official trailer for the new season, above.
You better believe the competition gets heated right from the jump with Padma declaring that the 15 chefs returning to Top Chef are "the fiercest" we've ever seen. Not only are the contestants trying to get the title they've been craving for years, but coming out on top this season will also give the winner the "largest cash prize in Top Chef history," Padma announces in the trailer: a quarter of a million dollars. Now that's pretty sweet.
But Padma also warns, "Just because they've done this before, doesn't mean they know what's coming."
This season of Top Chef, the cheftestants will find themselves at some of the most iconic venues in Los Angeles, including the Griffith Observatory, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. And the returning chefs aren't the only familiar faces will be seeing this season. L.A. is about to get even more star-studded with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Jon Favreau, Ali Wong, Randall Park, and Danny Trejo stopping by to serve as guest judges. They'll be joined by some of the most iconic names in cuisine today, such as Ludo Lefebvre, Jonathan Waxman, and Marcus Samuelsson.
It all leads up to the most epic Top Chef finale ever. "For the first time ever, Top Chef is headed to Europe for the finale," Padma proudly announces in the trailer as we see beautiful images of Italy.
The All Stars seem more than ready for all of the challenges ahead, but they're also not afraid to admit that they're going to be tested like never before. "This season will be the most difficult season of Top Chef," returning chef Kevin Gillespie says in the trailer.
