Tom Sandoval Reveals Why He's Still Wearing a Lightning Bolt Necklace
The Vanderpump Rules cast member clarified the details of the buzzed-about accessory and where it came from in the first place.
Tom Sandoval is setting the record straight about why he's still rocking that lightning bolt necklace.
OK, so it's not that lightning bolt necklace, but simply a lightning bolt necklace. As Tom explained on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the jewelry currently around his neck is unrelated to the buzzed-about accessory that had symbolic meaning to his past affair (as seen on Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules).
Early in the WWHL episode on May 7, Andy Cohen incredulously asked Tom, "Are you wearing ... the lightning bolt necklace right now?
"No!" Tom exclaimed, further explaining, "This is a white gold one, the other one I had was gold."

"OK," Andy laughed, joking, "Obviously!"
Tom then stepped in to note that the necklace was "given" to him originally by his good friend, celebrity jewelry designer, Kyle Chan, "quite a while ago."
Tom Sandoval clarifies the origin of the lightning bolt necklace
In addition to his Clubhouse appearance, Tom previously clarified the origin of the lightning bolt necklace after Vanderpump Rules viewers suspected it was strictly connected to his affair.
"I've always liked lightning bolts," he shared on the Vanderpump Rules After Show of the original necklace Chan bought for him "two years ago" for his birthday. "I've always had a thing for them; I used to shave them into my head when I was a kid."
"It was my thing and then —" Tom began, when his pal, Tom Schwartz, stepped in to say, "It became synonymous with that thing."
Schwartz added about the symbol: "I probably would have backed down and said, 'I'm gonna take a break from the thunderbolt,' [but] [Sandoval] was like, 'No, I'm gonna take control of it and rebrand it,' so it's in the midst of a re-brand."
More of Tom Sandoval's necklaces made by Kyle Chan
In addition to making the lightning bolt necklace for Sandoval, Chan also created custom "Tom Tom" necklaces for both Sandoval and Schwartz in 2018.
Chan showed the necklaces in a 2018 video post on Instagram, revealing the designs come in 14-karat yellow, rose, and white gold and cost around $1,300.
