Todd and Kandi Say Goodbye To Mother Sharon
The 'RHOA' stars attended a funeral for Todd's mom over the weekend.
Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss said goodbye to Mother Sharon over the weekend after Todd's mother died unexpectedly last Tuesday.
Todd's beloved mother, Sharon Wells, died after suffering from a stroke last week. On Saturday, a funeral was held for her.
The event included a white horse-drawn carriage and after the "home going service," Todd celebrated his mother's life with friends - and baseball caps featuring his mother's name.
"Sharon167 all day!" he wrote on social media. "As an only child I always wondered how I would handle my moms passing, but I have great friends and family and great support from my Instagram family. I want to think you all for all the love!! it helped me get through this tough time! I love and appreciate you all!!!"
His wife, Kandi, also took to Instagram to pay her final respects to her mother-in-law. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared with fans the program from the event.
After news broke about her death, Todd took to Instagram to open up about her passing in heartfelt note.
"Today I lost my partner, my ride or die, my best friend!" he wrote last week. "I don't know what to do? I'm lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She's in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!"
Kandi also opened up about Sharon's passing in her own post last week.
"Today has been a tough day," she wrote. "Our family has suffered a terrible loss. Sharon was the best mother in-law! She was fun, energetic, loving, & caring. I loved how she liked to get up & go all the time. She would get you in check one minute & give you a hug the next minute. She still had a young spirit. It's unbelievable that she's gone. I'm so sad for [Todd] because they were so close... He talked to her every morning & all thru out the day, every day. It's hard losing people that you love but when it's out of the blue with no warning it just makes it that much harder.... I'm still in shock."
