Here's Why Teresa Giudice Went Months Without Visiting Husband Joe Giudice in Prison

Teresa Giudice visited her husband, Joe Giudice, in prison for the first time in a long time during the Season 8 finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Wednesday. As Teresa drove to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, along with daughters Milania and Audriana Giudice, she shared that it had been a while since their last visit. Her brother, Joe Gorga, said it may have even been as long as eight months. 

Teresa clarified on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday that she doesn't believe she had gone as long as eight months without seeing Joe at that time. However, she did acknowledge that she had gone a few months without a visit, and she explained what was keeping her from the prison, which you can see in the video, above.

Joe has since been transferred from FCI Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. Teresa recently told PEOPLE that she and Joe "still talk every day" as he continues to serve out his 41-month prison sentence, which he began in March 2016. “He’s doing well,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s been awhile now, so I’m kind of just used to it. He’s only a half hour farther away. And it’s fine because it’s a camp facility, so it means that he’s closer to coming home. In his situation, it’s a good thing.”
