Why the RHOM Season 4 Reunion Is Unlike Any Other Real Housewives Reunion
Something happened for “the first time” at The Real Housewives of Miami Season 4 reunion, according to a producer.
Season after season, The Real Housewives franchise gives us no shortage of jaw-dropping moments. However, there’s just a whole other type of energy when the women sit down with Andy Cohen at a reunion to take a look back at everything that went down that season and what the future holds for the group.
It’s been nearly 10 years since we last saw the ladies of The Real Housewives of Miami on the couches at the Season 3 reunion, which aired in 2013. But when cast members Alexia Echevarria, Lisa Hochstein, Larsa Pippen, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, and Dr. Nicole Martin, along with friends Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton, sat down with Andy at the Season 4 reunion, they did not skip a single beat.
As RHOM concludes its encore run on Bravo, fans will get to see Parts 1 and 2 of the Season 4 reunion airing back-to-back starting on Tuesday, June 28, at 7/6c. Whether you’ll be watching the reunion for the first time or are on a second (or more!) viewing, you’re definitely in for something special, according to Pamela Gimenez, VP of Current Production on RHOM, who teased “a lot of revelations” when The Daily Dish caught up with her in an exclusive phone interview before the Season 4 reunion started streaming on Peacock in March.
“One of the things I really enjoyed about this reunion — and I’ve done many working on Bravo — is that usually we have the reunions that are a lot of rehashes, you know, with friendships and conflict. And that’s gonna be part of it,” Gimenez said. “But there are a lot of things that come out about each of the women that were in play during the season. And I think the fans will really be intrigued by it.”
Gimenez went on to note a particularly captivating moment with Julia during the RHOM Season 4 reunion. “There’s a story she tells that’s kind of riveting,” Gimenez teased.
She also explained why the RHOM Season 4 reunion is unlike any other Real Housewives reunion that has come before it. “We kind of shoot it a little bit looser, a little edgier, more behind the scenes. So although you think we’re going to commercial, for example, we keep going,” Gimenez said. “And that’s the luxury of having Peacock is that you could be a little bit fluid in the length of what we’re watching. And I think that’s the beauty of Peacock.”
Something else that’s different about the RHOM Season 4 reunion is that for the first time ever, Andy kicks things off by inviting the group take a shot, as you can see in the below trailer for the sit-down. “It’s the first time,“ Gimenez said. “Usually, they always end on a cheer with some kind of drink, and this time, we started with a shot, which is really fun.”
Clearly, the Miami Housewives are bringing something uniquely their own in the Season 4 reunion. “It really shows a testament of just new,” Gimenez said. “That simple toast at the top shows that you’re seeing something different.”
We’ll drink to that!
