You'll Never Guess Who Really Started Those Round-Up Rumors on The Real Housewives of Dallas
Cary Deuber revealed the origins of the gossip surrounding husband Mark Deuber's sexuality.
LeeAnne Locken shocked Texans and Real Housewives fans alike when she repeated rumors she heard about Cary Deuber's husband, Mark Deuber, and a gay bar called The Round-Up last season of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Since there was no truth to the rumors, we've long been wondering where they came from in the first place.
All of our questions were finally answered during Part 1 of the RHOD Season 3 reunion Wednesday night. Cary revealed that the person who started the rumor "was an ex-florist of mine who was mad." "So that was very enlightening for me," Cary said during the reunion.
Mark opened up to The Daily Dish about how he dealt with the speculation surrounding his sexuality during an interview in October 2017. "Well, I mean, one way to deal with that is you have to laugh about it because it's ridiculous. I know what I am, but at the same time, I'm into girls. I'm only into girls. I'm really only into [Cary]," Mark said. "But it's sad that people throw this around to try to hurt people because there are people out there who are in the closet or are worried about coming out, and they're struggling every day."
When this season of RHOD began, Cary said that she wasn't initially receptive to moving forward with a friendship with LeeAnne after The Round-Up incident. "I think I went in very apprehensively," she explained. "I was pissed as hell. I was open to the apology because, you know what, I gave grace. So we've been working on our friendship. I mean, it's taken a lot, trust me. It's been a long road."
LeeAnne apologized to Mark for spreading the gossip at last season's RHOD reunion, and she said again during the Season 3 reunion that she takes full responsibility for her actions. "I get choked up when I think about how far we've come because it's a blessing," LeeAnne told The Daily Dish about her relationship with Cary and Mark in October. "I take full responsibility for my actions in the past, I always have, and I'm just grateful for where we are. And I'm really, for the first time in my life, hopeful for where we can go."
LeeAnne and Cary showed that they have gotten to a much better place this season of RHOD. But will they leave the reunion as friends? Check out a sneak peek of Part 2 coming up on Wednesday at 10/9c, below.
