Kyle Speaks Out About Mauricio Replacing Her Photo with His DWTS Partner (EXCLUSIVE)
RHOBH's Kyle Richards shared how she really felt about Mauricio Umansky swapping out a photo of the two of them with one of himself with Emma Slater.
Kyle Richards is sharing new details on a shocking moment from Season 14, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills involving her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, and his Dancing With the Stars partner, Emma Slater.
During the Nov. 26 episode, Sutton Stracke stunned Erika Jayne and Kathy Hilton when she revealed Mauricio had made a change to his home office: He replaced a photo of him and Kyle with a photo of him and Emma.
Although Kyle wasn't present for the conversation in the episode, she shared how she really feels about that photo in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show video above.
"Didn't love that," Kyle said. "I understand to a certain degree because — no, I only understand part of this, hold on — because that's his desk, and right in front of his face is an 8x10 of him kissing my cheek, staring at him all day. So I can understand him not wanting to stare at that if it hurt him or, you know, was difficult for him and putting that away. But did you need to put up that photo? [ ... ] It was a really dumb thing to do, honestly."
While Kyle has yet to speak to Mauricio about the photo amid their separation, she noted it is no longer there.

The other women in the group agreed that the photo swap was in poor taste. Jennifer Tilly said that Mauricio's choice felt "deliberate" and "passive aggressive" because he had to know that Kyle would walk into his office and see it.
Meanwhile, Garcelle Beauvais suggested, "Replace it with a picture of you and the kids. Not you and the dance partner...That's not OK. That's bullsh-t."
Erika who had previously competed on DWTS, added that she also has an 8x10 photo of her and her "very handsome" dance partner — but it's nowhere to be seen in her house.
During the November 26 RHOBH episode, Kathy didn't hold back her thoughts on the photo situation.
"Are you serious?" Kathy asked Sutton. "It would be one thing taking it down. But to then put that up? Come on."
Sutton explained that if she were in Kyle's shoes, seeing that photo would be the final straw.
"I mean, at that point, for me, I'm like, 'Bye," she said in an episode interview. "Bye, Mauricio. But I don't think Kyle did that. I just think she was hurt and kind of hopeful. Hurt and hopeful."

Emma is a dance pro who Mauricio was paired with for Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars in 2023. While they were the sixth duo to be eliminated, they've stayed close.
Born in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England, Emma joined Dancing with the Stars as a troupe member on Season 14 and was announced as a professional dancer for Season 17 in 2013.

No, Mauricio and Emma aren't dating. But they are very close. Following their time on Season 32 of DWTS in 2023, the dancing duo maintained a relationship as they bonded over their respective separations. (Emma and her ex, Sasha Farber, split in 2022.)
While dating rumors have swirled about the pair (at one point, they were spotted holding hands), they maintain that they've always been platonic.
"I really think that Mauricio is someone who’s going to be in my life forever," Emma told Us Weekly in May 2024. "We sort of went through difficult times at the same time together and were each other’s confidants. It was a really nice season. Difficult for both of us, but we’re really, really grateful that we had each other."

When those paparazzi photos of Emma and Mauricio holding hands were released, Kyle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to share her thoughts on the situation. She said it did "not feel good" to see the photos.
"I was taken aback," she said. "That was very hard to see. Yes, that hurt my feelings... I love him very much and we are amicable, but that really did hurt me."
