Kyle Richards Breaks Down Finances Amid Mauricio Split: "Everything We Have..."

According to Kyle Richards, everything she and Mauricio Umansky have will be split 50/50.

Although Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are no longer a couple, they're treating their finances like they're still partners through and through.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

During Season 14, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle broke down her current financial situation — and how she and her estranged husband have chosen to deal with money during their split — in a conversation with Sutton Stracke.

"Everything we have is 50/50. Yes, of course, you know, The Agency is also mine. I'll tell you why. First of all, he always says it. It's written in his book: 'If it was not for my wife, I wouldn't have this.' He's gone on interviews and says this. I'm not kidding."

While Sutton wasn't totally convinced that the book would be passable evidence in divorce court, Kyle kept explaining.

"We started with nothing, we built everything together," Kyle said. "And that's it."

Sutton Stracke's financial advice for Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky

Having gone through a divorce herself, Sutton mentioned in a confessional that "men do not like parting with their money."

With that, she urged Kyle to be the one to file for divorce. "If you go on to do something from the date of filing, that's yours," she said.

Do Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have a prenup?

No, Kyle and Mauricio didn't sign a prenup when they wed in 1996. (FYI, A prenup, or prenuptial agreement, is a legally binding contract that couples decide to sign before getting married. In the event of death or divorce, it specifies how they'll divide their assets, debts, and/or spousal support).

“We did not have a prenup. My husband did not have a penny when I married him…" Kyle explained during a January 2024 appearance on Jeff Lewis Live. "He didn’t have any money when I married him and it’s our money. Let’s be very clear about that. It’s [a] very clean cut. Everything is half regardless."

What does Mauricio Umansky do for a living?

When Kyle met Mauricio, he was in the clothing business. These days, he runs an incredibly successful real estate brokerage — the aforementioned The Agency. Since founding the company in 2011, he's expanded it in a multitude of ways, most recently announcing the creation of The Agency Art House.
