Kandi Burruss Has Totally Changed Her Feelings About One of Her Real Housewives of Atlanta Friendships
"Time and an open heart can fix anything," Kandi shared.
Real Housewives reunions seem to have a way of tearing friendships apart. However, they also sometimes bring people closer together.
That seems to be exactly what has happened for onetime adversaries Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes. Kandi reflected on her friendship with NeNe on Sunday as the third and final part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 reunion was about to air. She remarked on how far she and NeNe have come since things got heated between them at the Season 6 reunion in 2014 (clip above). (We'd also like to point out the "we see each other" moment between Kandi and NeNe from the Season 7 reunion because we will never forget it.) "I really like this pic! It shows that time & an open heart can fix anything," Kandi wrote in a post on Instagram that showed herself and NeNe arguing at the Season 6 reunion and then hugging at the Season 10 reunion this year.
Kandi previously shared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen how she and NeNe were able to get past their drama. "Mind you at the end of Season 8, she and I said that we were going to do better about not being shady with each other and being cool, and so we have," she said prior to NeNe's return to RHOA in Season 10. "We don't see each other as much obviously because she isn't really on the show, but when we see each other it's always love. I mean I've reached out to her on different occasions, invited her out to different things. And so, yes, it's always positive."
Kandi isn't so confident that some of her fellow Georgia Peaches will be able to mend fences in the future like she and NeNe did. "Unfortunately I’m not sure if time can heal the drama from tonight’s episode," she also noted in her Instagram post.
Considering how things went between NeNe and Kim Zolciak-Biermann during this season's RHOA reunion, we have a feeling that the future of their friendship falls into that uncertainty category, even if they did both shoot down the possibility of ever being friends again during the sit-down.
