Take a Tour of Ash Fulk's Kitchen
The Season 6 Cheftestant shows off his NYC duplex—and shares an essential cooking tip.
As any New Yorker will tell you, it's not the size of the kitchen that matters—it's how you use it. That's especially true of Top Chef Season 6 Cheftestant Ash Fulk. And in the latest episode of In My Kitchen, the chef is showing off the culinary lab of his Upper West Side duplex apartment.
Ash, who serves as chef de cuisine of the critically-hailed Hill Country Barbecue Market in Brooklyn, might not have a sprawling kitchen, but he definitely knows how to use it, particularly when it comes to whipping up dinner parties for family and friends. "It's a very New York thing and you make do," he says of maximizing his small space. "Somehow you still throw amazing dinner parties but you just have to figure it out." In fact, Ash says he and his boyfriend entertain 18 people each year for Easter, one of his favorite holidays. "It's spring time," he says, "and everything is fresh and new!"
Ash has plenty of unique gadgets to maximize his space, including an induction burner and an espresso machine, a must-have for any caffeine addict. But some of his favorite secrets to cooking (or, in this case, reheating take-out) require nothing more than a paper towel and a microwave—watch Ash demonstrate the essential tip in our final installment of our Bravotv.com digital exclusive series and check out other episodes below.
