The two-part Summer House Season 8 reunion was truly one for the books, and that's not even taking into account everything that happened behind-the-scenes — all of which The Daily Dish can now reveal.
That's right: We were on set the day of the reunion taping, and now, we're sharing everything that went down off-camera with host Andy Cohen and cast members Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, Paige DeSorbo, Lindsay Hubbard, Ciara Miller, Danielle Olivera, Gabby Prescod, Carl Radke, Jesse Solomon, and West Wilson.
Andy Cohen's Compliments and Questions for the Summer House Cast
The reunion taping kicked off shortly after 10:45 a.m., but not before Andy caught up with the Summer House-mates as they trickled onto set.
Paige greeted Andy by enthusiastically stating, "Nice suede shoes, honey!" while West joined the group more cautiously, prompting Andy to ask him, "Are you ready for this?"
Lindsay, Ciara, and Gabby, meanwhile, were paid quite the compliment by Andy because of their midriff-baring dresses. "The abs on the ladies!" Andy said. "Wow, I'm stunned."
Last-minute touch-ups commenced, and Andy snuck in one more question for Paige before the cameras started rolling: "How's Craig [Conover]?"
Paige wasn't the one to answer, though — Jesse did. "He's good," the Season 8 newcomer said, much to everyone's delight.

The cast broke for lunch around 1:45 p.m., but the pause wasn't exactly refreshing for West. He returned to set and laughed as he showed his sweat stains to Gabby. Then once filming resumed, he was repeatedly fanning himself.
Temperature Issues Plagued the Set
West wasn't the only one sweating, though. A few of the ladies complained early on that they were cold, but a few hours later, nearly everyone was feeling the heat.
Amanda, who was sat in between West and Kyle, even joked to the group that she could smell both of them.
Andy Compared Summer House and Vanderpump Rules Reunions to Real Housewives Reunions
During a break, Andy and the cast were talking about the different Bravo reunions that he hosts, and he explained that the key difference between Real Housewives reunions and those for Summer House and Vanderpump Rules is that he comes from the place of being a fan, rather than a producer, for the latter since he doesn't work on Summer House or VPR.
Andy's Reunion Cards Entered the Conversation
Some of the cast wanted to take another break around 5 p.m., while others preferred they keep it pushing so they could wrap filming sooner. To show just how much they had left to discuss, Andy pulled out his stack of topic cards.
Ultimately, though, the group did end up taking a short break. Cameras picked back up at 5:25 p.m.
Kyle's Mullet Chop
Not long after Andy's declaration, the group was done discussing the season — but filming wasn't complete yet, because Andy intended to follow through on Kyle's previous promise that he'd finally cut his mullet at the reunion.
And, as fans are surely aware, Kyle went through with the haircut — courtesy of Andy himself. The group took plenty of videos and photos documenting the process, and once filming officially wrapped just before 7 p.m., they finished the day by posing for a cast photo.
