On Season 1 of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, viewers got the chance to meet Jasmine Ellis Cooper and her husband, Silas Cooper, who were still basically in the newlywed phase upon entering the Oaks Bluff vacation home.
Although the couple had a bit of a rough start managing their marriage while on vacation with their Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard crew, they walked out of the house at the end of the summer, seemingly in a good place.
Jasmine Ellis Cooper announces pregnancy
Fast-forward to today, Jasmine and Silas are readying for a new era in their union. Taking to her Instagram on November 2, Jasmine shared some exciting news – she and Silas are expecting their first baby!
The screenwriter’s post featured a gorgeous photo of herself donning a white body-hugging dress that showed off her baby bump, which she cradled. In another snapshot, Jasmine stunned in a baby blue flowy gown while giving a glimpse at her side profile.
“My ‘mom-era’ is loading and my heart is so full right now,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “Silas and I will be welcoming Baby Cooper [in] February 2024…”
Jasmine Ellis Cooper talks about her first pregnancy
During an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Jasmine shared more details on her newly announced pregnancy. "We have been trying for a little while. It's not like we were preventing, to be honest," she told the news outlet. "One day, I was just feeling a little weird and, you know how you have a gut feeling? I took a test and it came out positive."
The mom-to-be also revealed the sex of the baby: she's expecting a boy. She also shared how Silas reacted to her pregnancy news. “He got really emotional and shed a tear or two,” she explained. “It was really exciting and very simple. I wish I would have documented it, but the way he reacted is cemented in my brain."
How did Jasmine Ellis Cooper and Silas Cooper meet?
According to Jasmine’s cast bio, she and Silas met on the dating app Hinge. Jasmine and Silas tied the knot on June 26, 2022.
