Stephanie Hollman's Surprisingly Shady Wedding Gift to LeeAnne Locken Referenced This Iconic Season 2 Moment
And RHOD's Kary Brittingham seems to have taken a page out of Southern Charm's Shep Rose's wedding etiquette gift guide.
We got to see the beginning of LeeAnne Locken's much-anticipated wedding day on Wednesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas. When Stephanie Hollman appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that night (October 30), she was asked about the wedding — and specifically, what she gave LeeAnne as a gift. Her response was definitely cheeky — and slightly shady, too!
"I think I got her a knife set," Stephanie recalled. When Andy Cohen asked if she was being ironic, she responded, "Maybe; I don't know. I think I was trying to be cute, but I don't know."
So why was this such a controversial and hilarious gift to bring to LeeAnne's wedding? Well, you might recall this Season 2 scene, in which LeeAnne said the now-iconic line, "I grew up with a lot of things in my hands and they're not knives... they're just hands." Refresh your memory, below.
And speaking of wedding gifts, one RHOD 'Wife still hasn't selected anything from the registry. Kary Brittingham admitted, "I still haven't gotten her anything," noting that her gift was, "my presence." And her response got a thumbs-up from one Real Housewives of Potomac lady in particular: Candiace Dillard Bassett.
And, hey, she's in good company: Southern Charm's Shep Rose admitted that he never gives wedding gifts and that his gift to Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright was also his presence.
"I have never, ever, ever, ever gotten a gift for a wedding. What a stupid, stupid thing. I am spending literally a $1000 to come and see you — that's enough," Shep told The Daily Dish.
Next week, LeeAnne's wedding continues. Preview what's to come below and catch the episode Wednesday at 9/8c.
