Romantic relationships are at the forefront of Season 5 of Southern Charm, and one of the biggest will-they-won't-they questions revolves around Austen Kroll and Chelsea Meissner. While the two officially broke up after Season 4, Austen is having a hard time fully committing to his new love interest (and Chelsea's good friend), Victoria.
While viewers will have to wait and watch what happens, The Daily Dish podcast, tried to get Craig Conover and Kathryn Calhoun Dennis' take on the love triangle.
"I love both the girls, obviously," said Craig. "In my opinion, Chelsea's not into Austen like he is with her...And I think Chelsea knows that Austen's not the one for her, but it's a good safety net, so she likes to keep him around. I think it's not fair to Austen, because he's sometimes not capable of ending it in his brain himself if there's this false hope."
So what about Victoria?
"I think Victoria obviously really likes Austen. She wants to be with Austen, and I think you should be with someone that wants to be with you."
Kathryn has a similar opinion of the situation.
"I mean it was super obvious when he went on that date with Victoria that it was a product of being rejected by Chelsea," said Kathryn. "So I don't even know how serious he takes dating in general. He's a flip-flopper. I think Chelsea's over it, but it's kind of funny to watch, because he has no idea. He can't pick up on the social cue."
