You Have to Hear Snoop Dogg Describing Martha Stewart's Prison Time
The rapper shared how the culinary queen immediately developed survival skills while incarcerated.
Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart may be the food world's oddest couple, but they do have a couple of gangster qualities in common. Though he hasn't served any significant stretches of jail time, Snoop has been arrested at least eight times, while Martha infamously served a five-month prison sentence in 2004 for securities fraud, obstruction of justice, and making false statements.
An audience member on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen asked the rapper-turned-gospel artist to reveal the best jail story that the culinary queen has ever shared with him, and he did not disappoint.
"She told me that when she went in there they told her to put some newspapers on her to protect herself from getting stabbed," he shared with a sly smile. "And she was like, 'Why not use my magazines? They're a little bit thicker!'"
"Really, only Oprah or Martha Stewart could do that: pack themselves with their own magazines!" Andy Cohen laughed.
