Shannon Beador's Daughters Are Growing Up, But Is She Ready for That?
"When I started the show, they were just so little," the #RHOC mom said of watching her daughters grow.
Shannon Beador had a very, shall we say, interesting moment with her family in last Monday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. As her 11-year-old twin daughters Stella and Adeline explained that they had learned about puberty in school, they asked their father, David Beador, if he ever had a wet dream.
That caught David completely off-guard and caused Shannon to crack up. But rather than look back on that moment and cringe, Shannon said it's a sign that she and David are doing something right as they raise the twins and their 14-year-old daughter, Sophie. "We are a very close-knit family. If my kids can talk about wet dreams with us as a family, that means they're very comfortable," she told The Daily Dish. "I think that shows that David and I have done a good job because I know I wouldn't have been comfortable talking about things like that with my parents. So we have a good relationship."

Though Shannon's daughters aren't afraid to watch themselves on camera, a onetime viewing of RHOC is all they need. "You know, it's interesting. You would think that a lot of kids would be excited about seeing themselves on camera. So we do watch the episode as a family. But once they see it once, they're done. If I were a kid, I would push, rewind, rewind so I could keep watching it over and over again," she explained.
As Shannon watches the show back, it really drives home how much her daughters have grown in her three seasons on RHOC so far. "It is funny, because when I started the show, they were just so little, and it's amazing how much your kids mature in just a year, so it's fun," she said. "It's nice to have that documentation so you can see how they've each matured into young ladies because they're getting there."
That's clear to see through Sophie's growth spurt and a preview of what she looks like with makeup on. But Shannon isn't exactly prepared for all of this. "I am not ready for my kids to become teenagers, not at all. Not at all. It is frightening, because one of my twins, Stella, she thinks that she's 25 right now in her mind," she said. "I just want to keep them little."
