Mercedes "MJ" Javid Says Her Doctors Are Her Heroes During the "Home Stretch" of Her Pregnancy
The Shahs of Sunset mama-to-be credits "faith, hopeful optimism, and science" as she approaches her due date.
The time is near: Mercedes "MJ" Javid is about to become a mother! The Shahs of Sunset OG's due date is May 12, 2019, which is also, fittingly, Mother's Day. With a month to go, MJ and her husband, Tommy Feight, are excited to become first-time parents and are feeling grateful for all of their blessings.
Alongside a video from a recent ultrasound appointment, MJ, who experienced a pregnancy scare back in December, wrote on Instagram, "Words cannot describe the gratitude I’m feeling for these blessings in life. We are at the home stretch and ready to enter the biggest new chapter of our lives. The love between Tommy and I is a blessing in and of itself, but sharing this experience together is beyond both our expectations. Neither of us were ever sure if true love, marriage and children were in the cards for us."
MJ, who underwent IVF to conceive, is also feeling thankful to those who helped her become pregnant, writing, "We couldn’t have done it without a lot of faith, hopeful optimism and science! Our doctors [Dr. Shahin Ghadir], [Southern California Reproductive Center], [Dr. Steve Rad], and [Dr. Jay Goldberg] are our heroes."
MJ and Tommy, who are approaching their one-year wedding anniversary on April 21, previously expressed gratitude for the medical team. MJ said on Instagam, "Feeling overwhelmed with excitement, gratefulness, and hopeful about what lies ahead. The nurse staff at [the hospital] makes me feel like we’re in such good hands, and right at home. I’m so grateful to [my doctors] and the whole team at [the office]. My husband and I are very grateful and hopeful and appreciative of this journey and what is to come. We wouldn’t have made it this far without my doctors. My favorite thing throughout this journey is going to the doctor to see the baby on the ultrasound."
