Why Did Scheana Shay Look So Different During the Vanderpump Rules Reunion?
Botox isn't the only thing that has changed this #PumpRules SURver's appearance.
Scheana Shay came under fire for those Tom Sandoval-bashing text messages she sent to Ariana Madix's mom during Monday night's Vanderpump Rules reunion, but many fans on Twitter also had burning questions about a different topic: Scheana's appearance.
Some thought the SURver was looking a little different these days, causing them to wonder if Scheana had any plastic surgery done. Though Scheana has never been quiet about her affinity for Botox, she chalked up her new look to some good-old-fashioned weight loss. "I lost weight. I didn't have work done," Scheana responded to one Twitter user Monday night. "Believe what you want. My makeup is better and my face is thinner. Simple as that."
One Twitter user even compared Scheana to Emily from the 2005 animated film Corpse Bride. But don't worry; Scheana took is as a compliment.
Scheana also said that if she had any work done, she wouldn't be shy about it. "I swear .. I lose a little bit of weight and all of a sudden I'm 'plastic' and have had 'so much work done.' If I had, I'd own it," she tweeted.
And she does own it, too. She also revealed on Twitter that she got Juvederm fillers in her lips about two years ago and started getting Botox when she was 25 years old. And those super-long eyelashes of hers? They're strips, not extensions. "NOTHING plastic about me and I'm sick of saying it," Scheana said.
Basically, Scheana revealed all of the secrets to her Vanderpump Rules reunion look on Twitter in case you want to try and look as fabulous as she did, from what shade of lipstick she wore ("Allure" by Girlactik) to where she got her earrings (Aldo).
Of course, Scheana also had plenty to say about her beef with Ariana and Tom, standing by her actions because she was just looking out for her best friend.
And perhaps anticipating any judgment from tweeps and her Vanderpump Rules castmates alike before the reunion aired on Monday, Scheana had a preemptive message for her haters. "Say whatever you want to say about me. Doesn't change anything," she wrote on Instagram.
You should never leave home without self-confidence, after all.
