Why Brock Davies Felt "Anxiety" Alongside Scheana Shay in Their Latest TV Project (EXCLUSIVE)
Scheana and Brock also shared which of their Vanderpump Rules castmates they told about their new roles.
Art completely imitated life for Scheana Shay and Brock Davies when they took on their latest collaborative project: guest starring on an episode of Lopez vs. Lopez Season 2.
The spouses of over two years are used to appearing together in front of the camera as cast members on Vanderpump Rules, but their guest spot on the NBC comedy marks the first time that they're playing a husband and wife duo on a scripted series.
Before Season 2, Episode 7 aired, Summer Moon Honey Davies' parents chatted exclusively with The Daily Dish about what it was like to work together, and they revealed which of their Vanderpump Rules castmates they first told about the exciting casting news.

Scheana Shay and Brock Davies Talk About Their Lopez vs. Lopez Roles
Brock and Scheana are set to play a married couple, Justin and Erica, on the April 23 episode of Lopez vs. Lopez, who are "rival parents" to Mayan (Mayan Lopez) and Quinten (Matt Shivley).
After Mayan and Quinten's son, Chance (Brice Gonzalez), gets into his school's gifted program, the spouses get to know high achievers Erica and Justin on a different level.
Brock and Scheana noted that they auditioned for their roles, and when they found out that they were cast, they were more than excited.
"This was a dream for me. I’ve always wanted to do sitcom work, and so to be able to do this, especially for a show of someone I’ve been a fan of my whole life — I’ve loved George Lopez — it was a literal dream come true," Scheana exclusively shared with The Daily Dish. "And to get to do it with my husband, my real life and on camera husband, it was so fun."
Brock, who hails from New Zealand, agreed with the "Good as Gold" singer about how momentous the news was.
"For me, it was, obviously, something that I never thought was in my realm of possibilities for myself, especially from where I’ve come from, growing up in New Zealand, growing up on a dairy farm. I used to watch TV and I’m like, 'Oh, wow, cool.' I never thought I could one day be in a position to have these opportunities. So, that alone was amazing."
When the two arrived to the Lopez vs. Lopez set to film their scenes, Brock admitted that he got a little anxious.
"As we were on set, I was like, 'Honey, what is this feeling I have in my soul? Is this what anxiety feels like?'" he joked. "It felt like a lot of pressure, but I think it was really fun to be able to do it with my wife and also have the amazing crew and cast on set."
Scheana, who admittedly gets anxious before Vanderpump Rules reunions, wasn't sweating it during her Lopez vs. Lopez scenes.
"'Oh, I'm thriving,'" she said about what she thought when she began filming the episode. "'I'm in my happy place.'"
Brock Davies and Scheana Shay Told Lala Kent About Lopez vs. Lopez
When Brock and Scheana got the news that they would be appearing on George Lopez's comedy, they told their Vanderpump Rules castmate, Lala, first.
"I think Lala was the only one we told and she was so happy for us," Scheana said. "I was with her the day we got the audition and I told her, I was like, 'Oh my gosh...'"
As Brock explained, it was a no brainer to tell Lala, since their "families are very much intertwined now."
"It’s a really great friendship that we have with her," Brock said, before revealing that he "told all of production" about the role at the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion.
"I had a chat with everyone behind-the-scenes and all that, and we were reenacting the scenes," he said, and Scheana noted that the pair acted out their scenes with Tom Schwartz as well.
Now that Scheana and Brock have taken on their first acting gig as a couple, they're looking to collaborate again in the future. Scheana has always had the acting bug, but Lopez vs. Lopez grabbed Brock.
"It hooked me, hook, line, and sinker. I’m in," he said. "I’m gonna do more of it."
