Why Sam Feher Thinks Her Relationship with Kory Keefer Could “Go the Distance”
Hear Sam’s predictions for her relationship with the Winter House cast member after the Summer House Season 7 finale.
Summer House Season 7 is coming to an end, but Samantha Feher and Kory Keefer’s relationship isn’t. In fact, Sam theorized on May 22’s finale that she and the Winter House cast member may be in it for the long haul.
“This is amazing, having a boy on my arm,” she gushed in a confessional interview. “I just feel like we’re on the same page. We’re having a good time and we’re connecting on real levels now. This is no longer like, ‘Pull my hair, spit in my mouth.’ This is like, maybe this can go the distance.”
Sam, for one, did not expect to be saying that. “If you had asked me when I first met him — whew,” she added. “[I] did not see this coming. This was not on my bingo card.”
The two are, nevertheless, still together today. Sam revealed as much on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in April (while Kory sat in the audience!). Specifically addressing their current long-distance status, she revealed that Kory might end up trading North Carolina for the Big Apple. “I think Kory’s always wanted to move to New York,” Sam said. “He’s a city boy in a country world right now, so it’s down the line, but yeah.”
Kory, for his part, agreed. “I’ll co-sign,” he said. “Not right now, but I said I want to be in New York at some point for sure.”
As Summer House fans may recall, Sam and Kory first caught each other’s eye at Kyle Cooke’s 40th birthday party, which played out on Episode 10. Sam confided in Gabby Prescod that she was anxiously waiting for him to “make the move.” He finally did when they were in the pool, and a make-out session commenced. As Sam put it in a confessional, “We’ve been almost f-cking kissing all day and he’s finally actually sealing the deal.”
Things didn’t end there, either. Before Sam and Kory went their separate ways the next day, they agreed to see each other again at Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s housewarming party the following week. Ultimately, they didn’t even end up waiting for the party to see each other again.
“We had a date last night and a date today,” Sam shared. “Kory brings out the best parts of me, like the parts of me that I’m really proud of, the crazy big parts that some guys are scared of. That feels so good. That makes you want to see what else is there.”
Later, after Sam invited Kory to the Hamptons the following weekend, she opened up even more about her feelings for him. “I love making out with him, [but] I don’t think he has the capacity for a serious relationship right now,” she explained to a few of her roommates. “If something serious presented itself and we took it seriously and we really trusted each other, yes, [I’d be] open to it. I love being in love, so yes, but forcing it into something serious just ruins it and makes it awkward. Or then he hates me, there’s feelings and sadness and anger — I want to keep this exactly where it is.”
That, of course, didn’t last very long, as we now know that Sam and Kory “made it official” and are currently dating. Hear from both of them on the upcoming Summer House Season 7 reunion.
