When The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returns for Season 4 this September, Angie Katsanevas will be mixing it up with the cast once again, and this time as an official Housewife. Fans were introduced to Angie back in Season 3 when she was a friend of the group, but with a new season comes a new dynamic for the Salt Lake City mom, wife, and business owner.

According to her BravoTV.com profile: “From friend to Housewife, Angie Katsanevas owns and operates multiple hair salons around Salt Lake City with her husband, Shawn. When rumors begin to swirl about their marriage, Angie looks to find the culprit before the hearsay can do any damage to their family. Lisa [Barlow] loyally stands by her side as Angie navigates the group’s tumultuous and ever-changing dynamics.”
What is Angie Katsanevas’ career and what does she do for a living?
According to her Instagram bio, she is the owner and founder of Lunatic Fringe Salon. The salon has locations in Utah (duh!), Idaho, and Ohio. According to the website, “Lunatic Fringe Salon was founded in 1999 by two young hairdressers Shawn Trujillo and Angie Katsanevas. The couple started their journey in a 700-square-foot salon in Salt Lake City.” On Instagram, the salon touts a number of services including “cutting, coloring, styling, extensions, [and] makeup.”
Who is Angie Katsanevas’ husband, Shawn Trujillo?
Angie’s husband is Shawn Trujillo, who according to his Instagram bio, is very much all about “mindset/fitness/business.” He founded Lunatic Fringe Salon with his wife and is the owner of Paul Mitchell The School SLC. His bio also adds that he is involved with “elite lifestyle management.”
Earlier this year, Angie shared a tribute to her husband (as well as her own dad) and offered some insight into their life together.
“As a girl raised by my father I understand the significance my Dad’s influence had in my life. I learned from his hardships and hard work. I learned how to be a Mother from my Father who wore both hats raising seven kids. I am grateful to have married a strong man who shared the same values, love, and commitment for family as my Dad. It’s hard to imagine my father raising seven children alone as Shawn has been by my side since Elektra’s first breath and every step of the way thereafter. His presence has shaped the amazing young lady she is and continues to become. Elektra and I are blessed to have two amazing role models who support all our dreams,” Angie shared. “Dads and male role models never underestimate the power of your presence.”
In addition to being partners in life, business owners, and parents, Angie and Shawn also are animal lovers.
Who is Angie Katsanevas’ daughter, Elektra?
Together, Angie and Shawn are parents to a 12-year-old daughter, Elektra. Angie often posts updates about her daughter, who is an avid equestrian and often takes home awards at competitions. “It’s my job to teach her that winning isn’t everything. It’s also my job to teach her that winning is a symptom of hard work[,] dedication[,] focus[,] and passion. Don’t be surprised when your hard work pays off,” Angie posted earlier this year. “I brought you into this world. You brought me along on your beautiful journey. I’ll continue to follow you and your dreams wherever your heart desires. I’ll always be there.”
She has also posted about how much she loves being a mom: “And to think 17 years as a career woman I was auditioning for my dream job the entire time. A resume proving I was the perfect woman for the job. Working 24/7, Interpersonal skills, Unlimited hours, Sleepless nights, Happy disposition, Negotiation skills, Standing on my feet all day. No breaks and No vacations,” she wrote. “I was in training for the most important job in the world with the highest return on investment. The title was Mom. Grateful [every day] that I got the gig. Love my job and love my Boss Beyond words.”
