On The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion, Karen gives a look inside her family's history with the reunion of a lifetime in her hometown.
Karen Huger is taking fans on a journey to Surry County for the family reunion of a lifetime on The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion. And the Grande Dame is opening up like never before about what led her back to her hometown in this exclusive preview of the upcoming two-part special, courtesy of Bravo Insider.
"Before I was the Grande Dame of Potomac, I was Karen Wooden from Surry County, Virginia," Karen says in the above preview of the April 17 episode, taking viewers into her childhood and family's past. As RHOP fans may recall, Karen has previously shared how she was named the ambassador of Surry County, Virginia, and how proud she was to be a Wooden, opening up about her family's rich history in the area, as well as the importance of their family farm.
Now, Karen is sharing just how meaningful this journey back home is for her, as she tells husband Ray and daughter Rayvin, "You realize this is the first family reunion on the Wooden side. You also realize this is happening after Mom and Dad had passed on." Karen reflects on the passing of her father in 2018 and the loss of her mother nearly eight months prior in 2017, and tells Ray and Rayvin in the clip above why she feels it became time to finally make the family reunion happen.
"What really pushed me to this was the pandemic and realizing the only time we really all get together is at a funeral," she says, adding, "It cannot be that way."
Check out the preview clip above to get your introduction to Karen's loved ones, who, as she says, are a "huge ball of personalities," as they all uncover revelations about their family lineage, have fun-filled bonding experiences, and unravel the fate of the family farm's succession.
And make sure you tune in to the premiere of RHOP: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion on Sunday, April 17, at 8/7c.
