Gizelle Bryant Shares a “Terrifying” Health Update: “There’s No Way Around It”
In a RHOP preview, Gizelle tells Robyn about her “painful” biopsy and how her health battle is far from over.
Gizelle Bryant is opening up about a health issue that totally “caught [her] off guard.”
In a preview of the January 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, the OG cast member calls her longtime bestie and Reasonably Shady co-host, Robyn Dixon, to discuss her “painful” recent visit to a doctor to have her fibroids biopsied.
“My doctors have been monitoring me for about three years, and my uterus fibroids are so huge that they can’t just remove the fibroids,” Gizelle explains in an interview. “They’ve got to also remove my uterus, which is just like a full-blown hysterectomy.”
While the pain is certainly an unfortunate factor to consider, the mom of three “broke out in a sweat” thinking about all the unknowns that go along with the operation.
“The act of doing it is terrifying,” she continues, before sharing some of the things she was the most nervous about. “I don’t know if I’m going to be able to walk around, you know, what’s sex [going to] be like? I mean, I don’t know, but there’s no way around it.”
After getting the news, Gizelle was her own source of comfort, telling Robyn, “I was holding my own hands. I was consoling myself.”
Gizelle’s news arrives shortly before the RHOP ladies are supposed to leave for Ashley Darby’s birthday vacation to Mexico. Check out the video below to find out if Gizelle will ultimately be able to join the women for the group trip.
