Candiace Dillard Bassett Shares What’s Next for Her Music Career
The Real Housewives of Potomac singer took to Instagram with a major announcement: “The cat’s out of the bag!”
Candiace Dillard Bassett recently picked up the microphone — or rather, her phone — to make a major announcement about her music career. On March 5, she took to Instagram with some good news for fans of hit songs like “Insecure” and “Fine Whine.” If you’ve always wanted to see Candiace belt out her bops live and in person, this message will put a spring in your step…
“*Taps mic*,” Candiace wrote in her recent post. “The [cat’s] out of the bag! Getting back on the road and headed to a stage near you! Get your tickets!!!” A visual from Candiace’s Deep Space Deluxe album accompanied the post.
In the space-age-inspired image, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member wears a strapless bodysuit, a geometric black cuff, and over-the-knee white latex boots. She completes the futuristic look with a pair of wraparound sunglasses and gazes off into the distance as though peering at a faraway planet. The image sets the mood for a tour that’s bound to be — wait for it — out of this world.
The Candiace Deep Space Tour will include stops in 10 cities, including Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Nashville, New York, and Atlanta. If you want to snag tickets, be sure to save the date. In her post, Candiace announced, “Presales 3/8 10am til 3/9 midnight. PUBLIC: 3/10 @ 10am.” The tour starts on March 17 and will wrap up in October.
Last February, Candiace celebrated another musical milestone. “Woke up to some AMAZING news!” she wrote on Instagram. “My debut single ‘Drive Back’ has hit well over a million streams. NONE of this would be possible without all of you. Trust me when I say this is only the beginning!”
In late 2021, things were already heating up for Candiace’s music career. She shared some of her plans in an interview with Sheen magazine. “I’m really excited to continue promoting my debut album, Deep Space,” she told the publication.
“Every time I listen to it, I feel like I discover something new! Every week I have a new favorite song. I’m so excited to release my third single and visual entitled ‘Is It Enough?’ This song is sultry and sexy and inspirational and definitely has anthemic qualities that will make anyone want to talk their ish!” She added, “I feel like there are no limits and I’m going to continue testing that theory as far out and as high up as I can go.”
