All the Details on Candiace Dillard Bassett’s Next Acting Gig: “Surprise!”
The RHOP actor and singer’s role in a “provocative” new scripted series already has Robyn Dixon covering her eyes.
Candiace Dillard Bassett’s blessings truly are many. On the heels of her recent Deep Space tour, The Real Housewives of Potomac’s multi-hyphenate is happily bringing the drama in a whole new way.
“Surprise! Check out the trailer for my scripted series HUSH,” she captioned a November 17 Instagram Reel, noting that the “provocative” new drama premieres December 1 on AMC’s AllBlk streaming service.
According to an AMC press release, Hush “follows the story of a top marriage and sex therapist, TV personality, and best-selling author, who finds herself entangled in a web of lies, sex, and murder that could cost her everything.” In the eight-episode series, Candiace plays Syleena Gibson, “a trophy wife who, despite the dangers, keeps her marriage to her high-powered attorney [husband] Terrell Gibson (Lanre Idewu) spicy by [fulfilling] his fantasies, alone and with others.”
Candiace’s RHOP castmate Robyn Dixon, for one, is among the several Bravolebs who said they’ll be tuning in — even if she might have one eye covered. “Congrats! I’m going to have to watch like this,” Robyn commented, adding three peeking-eye emojis.
Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Drew Sidora and Kandi Burruss, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Leah McSweeney, and The Real Housewives of Miami’s Alexia Nepola were some of the others who sent congratulatory messages while expressing their excitement to watch Hush.
In fact, Candiace is staying booked and busy in general, having just announced in a November 16 tweet that she’s dropping her Deep Space Deluxe album on December 30, just in time to kick off 2023 on another high note.
“This year has been amazing,” the RHOP ’Wife shared in an exclusive BravoTV.com interview in June, adding, “It’s just showering with blessings all over the place.”
