Candiace Dillard Bassett Gives a BTS Look at *Everything* Happening in Her Career (UPDATED)
The RHOP singer shares what she’s been up to this year in her music career and talks about her new single.

Candiace Dillard Bassett may be widely known as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Potomac, but her clean vocals have allowed her to become a breakout star in the music industry as well.
Since releasing her debut album, Deep Space, Candiace has received plenty of opportunities to set her on track for a lustrous music career. The “Drive Back” singer even shared an epic milestone on the October 16 episode of RHOP, noting that she would be attending the 2022 Grammy Awards.
With all of Candiace’s success, Bravo fans better believe that the Grammy Awards wasn’t the only awards show she scored an invite to. In fact, Candiace sat down for a BravoTV.com exclusive to give a behind-the-scenes look at her 2022 BET Awards weekend (clip above).
“This year has been amazing. It’s just showering with blessings all over the place,” Candiace explains in the video above. The RHOP singer even reveals that she spent a day at a popular record executive’s house. To find out who, press play on the video at the top of this post.
In addition to hanging out with music executives, Candiace talks about performing as an opening act for some well-known artists. “I had the pleasure of opening for — legends, OK — I opened for Mýa, SWV, 702, and Faith Evans,” Candiace shares.
While Candiace is never shy of the spotlight, she did have a fangirl moment when one legend called her up onstage. Let her explain, above.
In other exciting news, Candiace also shares in the video that she will be releasing a new single. “I recently recorded my new single coming very soon, ‘Insecure,’ featuring who else but the diamond princess, darling,” Candiace reveals. She also teased a bit more about that new song, which drops later this month. “‘Insecure’ was birthed from a cheeky place, because it’s kind of about a guy, but I like that a lot of my music can be universally applied to anything, so I could also possibly be shading people who are insecure about me being fabulous,” she told E! News. “It can be applied to anyone who feels like, ‘OK, you guys are hating on me, so you’re just being insecure. Get your life together.’”
