Andy Cohen just gave us a glimpse at what it was like filming The Real Housewives of New York City Season 12 reunion, the first Bravo reunion to be shot in person since early 2020 when reunions moved to remote filming amid social distancing during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

Andy shared some updates from the set of the RHONY reunion in his Instagram Story on August 5. "I have never been happier to be in a suit in my life," he said in one video. "It feels great. Home again."

The RHONY reunion host went on to share some of the protocols put in place during filming. "Well, this reunion is unlike anything we've ever done before. I wish you could see the setup. You'll see it soon enough," Andy said. "All protocols being observed. Masks at the ready. Hand sanitizer next to my apple."

And, of course, Andy came armed with plenty of questions for the ladies with "many, many more cards to get through" at that time.

Andy previously described some of the other measures being taken to ensure everyone's safety while filming the RHONY reunion on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show last week.

"There are a lot of protocols. Everybody has to get tested [for COVID-19]. There's very few crew; there's very few people allowed. We’re all six feet apart. I don't think raising voices is going to be a concern because with that group. Hopefully this is gonna go well," he said. "This is very exciting to me. No, it's not an outdoor venue, but it is definitely a spaced-out venue."

Prior to the reunion, Luann de Lesseps showed us how she was "preparing for battle," getting some weightlifting in with the help of a couple of water bottles.

Sonja Morgan also took us behind-the-scenes of her glam as she got ready to sit down with Andy and her fellow New York Housewives. "#Werk in progress," Sonja wrote on Instagram. "Can’t wait for you to see the whole bowl of sugar."

On the day of the reunion taping, Andy predicted on Instagram that it was "gonna be a great day," and it looks like it was as he confirmed the successful shoot in another post with Luann. "That’s a WRAP! Thanks to our incredible crew who helped us execute this reunion safely," Andy wrote in a post on Instagram. "And thanks to Lu for wearing a mask of her own lips!"

Leah McSweeney and Ramona Singer opted to lounge around in their jewelry after filming the reunion. "Will sleep in nothing but this diamond necklace (before I have to return it tomorrow) to celebrate a very successful and long day," Leah wrote in a post on Instagram.
