The late-night talk show host attended the show at the Sphere in Las Vegas over the summer, where he sat in a private box, and danced to the music played band.
In the video, Andy can be seen wearing a brightly colored tie-dyed outfit, moving his body along to the jam band, smiling from ear to ear, and occasionally playing the air guitar. But, Andy is just a bit confused as to why people are paying attention to the video now. Andy reposted the video to his Instagram Story earlier this week where he shared his own commentary on the viral moment.
"Not sure why this is going around," he wrote over the video. "TAKE ME BACK!"
His sheer happiness to be in the moment, listening to one of his favorite bands is so contagious and apparent.
Does Andy Cohen like The Grateful Dead?
Andy Cohen loves The Grateful Dead and their touring group, Dead & Co., which his BFF, John Mayer, plays in. In a 2021 interview with Billboard, Andy opened up about his love of the band.
"I'm so into them," he said. "But I'm also a hippie at heart and always have been. I got into them in high school. There's a freedom that's associated with being a Deadhead that lines up with also being gay. There's a sense of a total freedom of expression and brotherhood that's out there when you're in the crowd dancing with the Dead. It's hard to explain, but it's there."
Andy Cohen says son Benjamin Cohen is a "Dead Head"
But Andy isn't the only person in the Cohen household who likes to dance to the band. In a 2021 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Andy revealed that his then-2-year-old son, Benjamin Cohen, was a big fan of the music. "First of all, we listen to a ton of Grateful Dead, constantly" Andy told host, Kelly Clarkson.
"We're not 'Baby Shark' people in this house, we're Dead Heads in this house," he concluded. "And he responds to it."

Although much has been speculated about Andy and the Dead & Co. guitarist, Andy addressed all of the speculation about his friendship with John in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in May. Rest assured, there is nothing going on between them besides a solid friendship.
"I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me," he said. "But because we're so affectionate toward each other, people don't know what box to put that in. They assume we're sleeping together, which we are most definitely not."
