Margaret Josephs Says Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga Need a “Big Pause”
The RHONJ cast member also teased the Season 13 finale.
In February, Dolores Catania made the bold declaration that, with no end in sight for the feud between Teresa Giudice; her brother, Joe Gorga; and his wife, Melissa Gorga, it might be “time for them to really part ways.” Now, another cast member from The Real Housewives of New Jersey is agreeing: Margaret Josephs.
She admitted as much while weighing in on a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen poll that read, “Is it simply time for Teresa and Melissa to cut each other out?”
More specifically, Margaret said on the April 18 episode, “I think they need a big pause from each other.”
Margaret didn’t elaborate on her response, but she may have provided some insight into her reasoning when later discussing Melissa and Joe’s decision to skip Teresa and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding. She was asked if they were “justified” in making the choice, and Margaret said, “Absolutely, especially after seeing the finale.”
There’s no telling what’s to come during the Season 13 conclusion, but the midseason teaser was proof that there’s a lot left to be said between the Giudices and Gorgas in the weeks leading up to Teresa’s wedding.
Margaret, for her part, did attend the nuptials, but she later stated that she left early because of the drama between Teresa and Melissa and Joe. “I went there to celebrate [Teresa’s] marriage. I was very supportive of it. I gave her a generous gift… and she knew that I was very supportive of her marriage,” Margaret explained on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast in February. “[But] even as happy as I was for Teresa, it was also painful for her other family members. And I was just like, you know what? I’m just gonna go.”
Teresa later weighed in on the admission, noting that if Margaret was intent on “supporting” Melissa, “she should have never came at all.”
In response, Margaret clarified on WWHL, “It wasn’t [that] I left early because of my friendship with Melissa. That wasn’t the reason.”
“I wanted to celebrate Teresa… it was important for me to celebrate her wedding,” she continued. “I went to the wedding, I went to the cocktail hour for two hours, and then was like, Melissa and Joe were home, they were very upset. I couldn’t dance the night away and feel good about it.”
