Simon Barney Offers an Update on What His Life is Like After Cancer Diagnosis
The ex-husband of Tamra Judge shared a photo of life following treatment.
Simon Barney has taken to Instagram to share an update on how much his life has changed since he was diagnosed with Stage 3 throat cancer. Tamra Judge's ex-husband showed a very real peek at his life after he recently completed treatment, which included chemotherapy and radiation.
The Real Housewives of Orange County ex-husband shared three photos that he captioned as "Metamorphosis: Before, During and after treatment. Can you tell which is which[?]"
Simon went public with his cancer diagnosis earlier this year confirming it first to PEOPLE. Later, Tamra explained why he wanted to share the news with the world.
"He gave his statement solely because people were starting to figure it out. And he had contacted me and said the guy at valet had said to me at the hospital, 'I didn't know you were from the Orange County. There [were] a couple of patients who came out and said they saw you getting chemo,'" she said on an episode of Vicki Gunvalson's podcast, Whoop It Up with Vicki, adding what advice she gave him as he deals with this in the public eye.
"I said, you know what, my advice to you is to get behind the story before somebody else does," she said. "So he was very brave to tell his story and he's had a lot of support, people reaching out to him."
Tamra and Simon divorced in 2011 after 13 years of marriage. Together they are parents to three kids: Spencer, Sidney, and Sophia; Tamra also has a son, Ryan Vieth, from a previous marriage.
