Jennifer Pedranti Sets the Record Straight on Her Separation and New Relationship
The RHOC newcomer opened up to Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson about her former husband and current boyfriend.
Jennifer Pedranti may be new to The Real Housewives of Orange County, but when it comes to her past, she's putting it all on the table.
The Season 17 addition was particularly forthcoming when talking about her former marriage with Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson on Episode 2, which aired June 14. Read on for details.
Jennifer Pedranti's Former Marriage
Specifically discussing the overlap between her relationships with her ex-husband, Will, and her current boyfriend, Ryan, she told her OC castmates, "When I met Ryan, I was just in a marriage that was dying and just having this excitement about somebody that I shouldn't have."
"[Will and I] had been sleeping in separate rooms for two years," Jennifer continued, before referencing the fact that she's long been a foster parent. "I look back at it, you guys, and I think all those kids I was fostering, all those animals I was fostering, I think I was always looking for something..."
"Something to love," Gina chimed in, "and to love you back."
Jennifer agreed.
Jennifer Pedranti's "Affair" With Ryan
What Jennifer didn't agree with, however, was Gina's insistence that what transpired between Jennifer and Ryan doesn't count as "an affair."
Gina made the comment after Jennifer first explained that when she met Ryan, "Everything that was chipping away, he was feeding," and Emily joked, "Get to the part where you and what's-his-name have sex."
Jennifer, however, clarified that she had "never even held [Ryan]'s hand," when she was still with Will. "Truly, you guys, I would tell you," she said, to which Gina responded, "Wait a minute ... I heard that you had an affair."
"I did," Jennifer replied.
Gina said, "That's not an affair," but changed her tune when Jennifer used Gina's boyfriend, Travis Mullen, as an example: "If Travis is in another room, talking all night long to another girl..."
"He better f-cking not," Gina said with a laugh, before sharing her thoughts on Jennifer's situation in a confessional. "I don't want to judge Jenn, but obviously I am not pro-cheating," she said. "At least when you're on my side, you get to walk around with your head held high."
Jennifer Pedranti's Separation From Will
Jennifer and Will's separation wasn't exactly smooth sailing. As she explained in a confessional, "Initially, my ex-husband, Will, did blame me for ending our marriage. He was pissed."
Thankfully, things recently improved for the exes. "Just two weeks ago, we had a conversation and he said, 'I'm sorry,' and he said, 'I don't want you to feel bad anymore. I don't want you to blame yourself anymore,'" Jennifer shared. "For him to give me an apology and to tell me it's not my burden to bear and for him to take ownership of where we were falling apart was probably the greatest conversation, as sad as that is, and the most real conversation, I've ever had with Will."
Jennifer Pedranti's's Current Relationship With Ryan
Jennifer shared that she was hesitant to introduce Ryan to her and Will's children even after they separated. As she put it in a confessional, "Ryan and I were dating almost a year before I was comfortable with him being around the kids. It has crossed my mind, do they think that this is the guy who came in and broke up my mom and dad?"
However, today, Ryan fits in with her kids perfectly. "The fact that it has gone so easy and so seamless is truly such a blessing," Jennifer said, "because if Ryan didn't blend with my kids, there is no Ryan."
