Erika Jayne Offers the Sweetest Updates on Her Son, Tommy (and Dog, Tiago!)
The RHOBH cast member can’t believe this big moment is coming up for her son.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne’s son, Tommy, may be all grown up, but as his mom recently shared with Bravo Insider, he definitely relies on her for certain things.
“I mean, we speak to each [other]. Yes, we are friends. He’s grown. I am [and] will forever be his mother. And, you know, I still have to cook when he comes over,” she said with a laugh. She noted that when he does come over to see his mom, he definitely makes himself at home. “[He’s like,] ‘Can I take a shower?’ ‘Yes, you may take a shower.’ But it’s nice, too, for him to be grown.”
As Erika noted in her interview with Bravo Insider, her son has been a great support system (along with his father) as she faces some personal ups and downs.
“My son’s been amazing. I will say this: The silver lining to all of this s--t is that our relationship is stronger. My son and I, we’ve really come together. He’ll be 30 in June. Oh, Jesus. I just remember walking around here in New York being pregnant with him. But he’ll be 30. And so asking him what he thinks about things, you know, you get this adult perspective,” she said. “And it’s really nice.”
And while they are able to have heart-to-hearts, they also have an unspoken language, especially when it comes to Erika sharing her opinion on her son’s love life and having to approve of his potential partner.
“You know, I’m gonna leave that one alone. But he knows,” she said with a laugh. “He knows what I’m thinking. Let me tell you something, the one thing is that child of mine knows exactly what I’m thinking all the time. Sometimes silence says it all.”
She revealed more about her son and if he needs to approve of her future partners as well in the exclusive video above.
That brings us to the other special guy in Erika’s life, her beloved dog, Tiago. “He’s good. He’s at home right now and I miss him. He’s a sweetheart,” she said before sharing what he does when she’s away. “He waits by the door. But he has a sitter. So it’s fine.”
And while Erika shares her life with fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, viewers may still wonder what she does in her time off, and yes, that involves hang time with her pet. “Haven’t you seen the lovely pictures, like at the gas station? That’s me, OK,” she laughed. “That’s what I do. I’m not in hair and makeup. I’m in sweats. I’m hanging out with my dog. By the way, I did that every year, this is who I’ve been my entire life. It’s just that this last season became a little bit more public.”
